About APO|APE News

APO|APE News is the news publication of Advancing Precision Oncology (APO) and Advancing Pathology Education (APE), the free, CME-accredited regional conference series run by Advancing Precision Medicine. It covers cancer care, diagnostic pathology, immuno-oncology, antibody-drug conjugates and radiopharmaceuticals, digital pathology and AI, hematology, and the molecular diagnostics that connect a biopsy to a treatment decision.

What we publish

Daily news built from primary documents: FDA and EMA actions, trial readouts, peer-reviewed papers, company filings, and conference abstracts. Each article links to the document it is built on, quotes the people named in it, and says plainly when a full text could not be read. Our house rules are on the Editorial Standards page.

Alongside the news: interviews with APE|APO faculty, opinion from practicing oncologists and pathologists, and coverage of the conference sessions themselves.

Ownership and independence

APO|APE News is owned by Advancing Precision Medicine (APM), the organizer of the APE|APO Event Series and the APM Annual Conference. The newsroom is run separately from the conference programs. Coverage of APM's own meetings is labeled as such, and conference sponsors do not review or approve editorial content.

Editorial direction: Drew Thornley, founder of Peptide and Protein News and Small Molecule News, who also serves as a partner in Advancing Precision Medicine.

Who reads it

Medical and surgical oncologists, anatomic and molecular pathologists, laboratory directors, oncology nurses and pharmacists, and the diagnostics and biopharma teams that build for them. Most readers first meet the publication at an APE|APO regional meeting.
